"and the star rains its fire
while the beautiful sing,
for the manger of Bethlehem
cradles a King"
I've heard the Christmas story so many times, I really didn't expect to learn anything new. And then this one hit me between the eyes.

Scientists studying the vastness of space say it would take
light-years for stars' light to reach us--that's how far away they are. The Star of Bethlehem...it boggled my mind to think that our Creator God could manage movement of a star--light-years away from earth--in such a way it appeared to "travel" across its sky and stop "above" a stable in Bethlehem..and got it to move ages
before that stable even existed! (Then it crossed my mind if God could create an earth with the appearance of millions of years of existence; if He could create adults with the appearance of decades of maturity;...it shouldn't be that hard for God to arrange one heavenly orb' s exceptional journey across the cosmos--and do it in an instant with a spoken word, altho' the rest of the universe would need eons of time to accomplish the same thing.)
...to think such a great, big, awesome God chose to love me, chose to pick me to become one of His own, and nothing can foil His power. Wow. Talk about security.
